Photography, then paint:: Looking at Nature with eyes wide opened

Photography composure, technique and practice  . then painting your photograph

4 Field trips:  Photo shoots of SMA’s unique streets, surrounding pueblos, botanical gardens

Have you ever wanted to wander thru old Mexico, taking photos and guided as you go?  Have you ever wanted to paint those photos?  This workshop will take you through old San Miguel de Allende, a heritage site preserved as it was 400 years ago, where you will have access to unique photography subjects, rural villages, rancho scenes, and nature at its best. There will be daily nature walks as you learn about the beautiful community that makes San Miguel so magical. March is a great month as the weather is comfortable and the spring colors of flowers and budding trees are at their peak. You will learn about the native plants and visit a village where baskets are woven. The days begin with one hour of indoor instruction covering composition and close-up techniques. Then you head out on a field trip to apply what you learned under the expert guidance of Irene Diaz.  At the end of the workshop we will make a photo collage. And you will learn how to hand paint a photograph.
